If you decide to run a giveaway on your blog, you’ll want to promote it as widely as you can. Giveaways are a great way to increase traffic and engagement on your blog, even if only for a short time. I collaborate with many brands on another blog of mine, and regularly have giveaways running. Every time a new one goes live, I share it far and wide to let as many people as possible know about it.
Here’s how to promote your blog giveaway:
Blog Link Ups
Several blogs run link ups where you can go and add your own giveaway. It’s a good way to share your giveaway with other bloggers, and find competitions you might want to enter yourself. I always add my giveaways to these link ups:
Mudpie Fridays
Make sure to adhere to the blogger’s rules for the link up, including the format of the text and any badge you may be required to display on your post.
Facebook Groups
There are a number of Facebook groups in which you can share blog competitions. Of course, you can share into any competition group you’re a part of if allowed. I also share my blog giveaways in these groups:

Competition Sites
There are several competition sites where compers go to find giveaways to enter. For most of them, you can upload your own giveaways to the site. The ones where you’re not allowed to self-promote are Money Saving Expert, Hot UK Deals and Latestdeals.co.uk. Make sure to add your giveaways to the following sites:
The accounts are free to set up and it takes a couple of minutes to do.
Your Own Social Media
Of course, as with any blog post you’ll want to shout it from the rooftops to get maximum traffic. I always share all of my giveaways on social media, most notably:
Facebook – I always share to my page and then share the post myself from my personal profile
Twitter – I set up recurring tweets to go out every day until the end of the giveaway
Instagram – share an image of the prize
I also share occasionally on G+, Stumbleupon, and Pinterest. If you have a newsletter then you may want to let your subscribers know about your giveaway too.

By sharing your giveaway in as many places as possible, more people will see it and be drawn to your blog. Giveaways are a great way of driving traffic and increasing engagement, and are also a lovely way to give back to your readers.
