Completing online surveys for money is not a new concept, and most of us will have signed up to some at some point in our lives, only to lose patience quickly. I have tried out a lot of online survey sites and have a few tried and tested ones that are definitely worth signing up to. You can get paid in either cash or vouchers for answering questions for market research companies. Some survey sites even offer products as a reward.
Here are ten survey sites worth your time.
Prolific Academic
This is different to most survey sites as you only get offered surveys you will actually be able to complete. This way, you don’t get screened out after the first few questions because you don’t qualify. You get paid in cash, directly into your PayPal or Circle account. You can cash out from £5, but will pay a small fee on either of these withdrawals if the amount you cash out is less than £20.
Pureprofile
This site pays cash when you hit the £25 point. I have been able to cash out a few times in the past. It takes a little while to build up the cash, but the site itself is very user-friendly and has regular surveys to complete.
Valued Opinions
Valued Opinions pays you in vouchers. In the past I’ve ordered Boots, Topshop and Dorothy Perkins vouchers. For most vouchers, you need to have received £10.50 in survey rewards before you can order them. The minimum amount you can cash out is £8, and you can get an adult Cineworld ticket for this.
Crowdology
With Crowdology you only have to earn £4 before you can cash out. You can request that the the cash is paid into your PayPal account, or pick an Amazon voucher instead. Nice user-friendly site.
Swagbucks
Not just a survey site, as it does all sorts of things. It’s possible to make a lot of money from Swagbucks each month. You could just log in and answer surveys, and stack up your points this way. I tend to request Amazon vouchers through Swagbucks when I’ve reached the pay out level, which is 450 Swagbucks for a £3 Amazon gift voucher. You can save them up to receive larger vouchers too.
Qmee
I’ve written about Qmee in this post, explaining exactly what it is and how to use it. Aside from being able to earn money just for searching on Google, Amazon and eBay, Qmee also has online surveys for which you earn a cash reward.
i-Say
This survey site pays in vouchers, and you choose from different retailers. It has regular surveys and is easy to use. I just cashed out my points for a £5 Amazon voucher today and received it in my inbox within an hour.
Mindmover
Once you reach 2000 points with Mindmover you can request payment by PayPal or Amazon vouchers. 2000 points equates to £20. I am currently at 1745 points!
Toluna
This is a site I’ve been a member of for years. They have a lot of surveys every day. Payment is made in vouchers, and you can choose from lots of different retailers such as Argos and Tesco.
iPoll
For iPoll you need to earn £25 before you can cash out, and you can then claim either a cash payment or Amazon or iTunes vouchers. What I like about this one is that there are lots of surveys available, they all pay around 75p, and there is also a mobile app. Through the app I probably get around 1 -2 survey notifications a day.
One thing I suggest is that you sign up to online survey sites with a new, designated email account. You will get a lot of emails and you won’t want them cluttering up your normal inbox.
Are there any you can recommend?
I like Pinecone surveys. Yoyu get 300 points per survey which equates to £3. You can sometimes test products too and earn more points doing that.
Hi Mary, that is a really good payout per survey! I love the idea of having products to test as well.
They are worth doing then for that much! Very rewarding!
Good luck with them! Definitely worth doing if you have the spare time occasionally.
I’ve heard bad things about Toluna, have you had any negative experiences with them?
Hi Fiona, I have only really had positive experiences with Toluna. They have a lot of surveys, many of which do screen out but I have had a lot of vouchers from them over the years. I have completed many more surveys than I’ve not qualified for, so I definitely do recommend them.
Certainly give these a go – looking for some much needed income
I’ve had mixed results with surveys. A couple of sites, when I’ve got close to where I could cash oit, I’ve inexplicably been dropped which is hugely annoying, this unfortunately included Pinecone. From a couple of sites, I’ve won a monthly bonus prize of over £100 which was really welcome. I’ve still not actually “earned” money from doinng surveys for points that I can then cash out. Those blogs that tell you you can earn “up to £300 per month” doing survery are exaggerating to put it mildly!
