If you have been wanting to know how to make money online, you’ve probably already come across a Qmee review.
You may want to know if you can earn real money with Qmee, and if it’s in fact a legit site and not a complete waste of time.
There are so many different ways to make money with Qmee, and if it’s your first time looking into this platform it can be a little confusing so this article breaks it down for you to make it quicker for you to start earning from Qmee.
In this Qmee review I’ll go into detail of my experience using Qmee* over the last few years and provide everything you need to know about the Qmee platform.

What is Qmee?
Qmee* is a way to earn cash just for carrying out normal day-to-day online searches.
Yes, you can get paid for googling pretty much anything that crosses your mind to search for.
You can also get paid for searching for things on Amazon and eBay using the same free in-browser Qmee extension.
Qmee is also a survey and cashback website that allows you to earn money by completing surveys and shopping online.
Here are some of the ways you can earn money with Qmee:
- Take surveys: Qmee offers a variety of surveys on a variety of topics. The amount of money you earn per survey will vary, but it typically ranges from £0.25 to £1.00.
- Shop online: Qmee partners with a variety of retailers to offer cashback on your purchases. The amount of cashback you earn will vary, but it can be as much as 20% of your purchase price.
- Search the web: Qmee has a browser extension that you can install. When you search for something on the web, Qmee will sometimes show you results from its own search engine. If you click on one of these results, you will earn a small amount of money.
Sign up to Qmee
If you sign up through my referral link you will earn an extra bonus when you first cash out to PayPal.
As soon as you cash out any amount, both you and I will receive 50p into our Qmee accounts.
To earn the reward, you must sign up through the website (either via a desktop or mobile) and not on the Qmee mobile app.
Qmee searches using their browser extension
My favorite aspect of Qmee is the browser extension.
The Qmee browser extension takes very little time to set up on your desktop browser.
Once it’s installed, you can just carry on using Google, Amazon and eBay as you usually would to search for things.
If anything comes up that you can earn money from, the Qmee bar will automatically appear.
It offers you a very modest amount of money (literally, pennies) to click on the alternative search results that it provides as an addition to your ordinary search results. When you click on these other options, you instantly earn the cash to your Qmee account.
When the Qmee bar appears for me, I click on the first option it gives me to earn the cash. I then click back in my browser to visit all the other options it gives me until they disappear.
All this takes a very short amount of time and it’s very easy money indeed.
The Qmee pop up also sometimes works like a comparison site and will show you cheaper places to buy whatever it is you’re searching for.
Get paid to answer Qmee surveys
Within the Qmee site, you also have the option to answer surveys to earn additional cash rewards. You can also download the Qmee mobile app to answer surveys on your phone when on the go, or when just watching the TV.

You can choose to have notifications turned on if you want a little message to pop up in your browser when a new survey becomes available.
If you don’t turn the notification on, you can just check the Qmee website or the Qmee app for new surveys.
It doesn’t pay as well as many other survey providers, so is definitely not the best survey site around, but the nice thing about Qmee is that there’s no minimum amount you need to earn before you can cash out.
This is a really good thing because with other survey apps you often have to hit a high threshold before you can withdraw your earned cash into your bank account.
Qmee cashback
Like a lot of people who love to save money, I use cashback sites like Topcashback* and Quidco* to earn money back on purchases I make online.
Qmee also works in this way.
There are always cashback offers when you log in to Qmee, many for mainstream companies and brands that most of us use regularly, so it’s definitely worth checking out and comparing cashback amounts between Qmee and the other main cashback sites.
Like all cashback sites, there is a wait between your purchase and when the cash is able to be released to you. This is usually determined by return timeframes and dictated by the brands themselves.
Earn money playing games
As well as earning money through your internet searches, purchases and online surveys you can earn money the easy way playing games through Qmee.
This is a great thing to get in to if you generally spend a lot of your spare time on your phone playing games anyway, and is one of my favorite things to mention in this Qmee review.

Make sure to check the terms and conditions of each offer, as you usually have to download the games and complete a certain amount of game time or beat certain levels in order to qualify for payment.
I find this one of the easiest ways to make money because I tend to play games while watching the TV in the evening, and it feels nice to earn just a little money while doing something so enjoyable.
How to maximize your Qmee earnings
Qmee is a legit platform that earns you money, so if this Qmee review has encouraged you to sign up there are a few things you can do to maximize your earning potential.
- Complete your profile in full in the Qmee dashboard. This will help Qmee to match you with surveys that are relevant to your interests.
- Take surveys that are short and easy to complete. These surveys will typically pay less, but they will be faster to complete.
- Look out for special deals on cashback.
- Complete the daily poll to unlock what Qmee calls an active streak, which can see you increase your survey earnings by 10% during the streak.
- Check your email regularly. Qmee often sends out emails with surveys that are only available for a limited time.
The key is to be patient and persistent. It may take some time to find surveys that you are eligible for. You should just carry on making your regular internet searches too with the browser extension installed so you don’t miss any opportunities to earn some cash.
How to set up Qmee
Qmee is very easy to set up and you can start earning money quickly.
It’s really easy to download to your browser, and completely free. You need to install it to your browser so that it can track your searches. I have been using it for some time now and it’s completely safe.
You need to visit the Qmee website, and sign up with your email address or with Facebook. In order to use the browser extension you must be signed in to your Qmee account on your desktop.

Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to install Qmee on your browser. It doesn’t matter which browser you generally use (I use Google Chrome, usually). Your browser will ask you if you want to install the extension, so you just need to click ‘yes.’

It takes seconds for Qmee to install its extension. You’ll get a little green ‘Q’ appearing on your browser (top right for Chrome) to show that it is completed.

Qmee will then prompt you to have a go at searching for something, using either Google, Amazon or eBay.

When you search for something that will earn you a little bit of money, a Qmee bar appears next to your search results. You need to click on the search result within the Qmee bar to earn the amount of cash shown next to it.
Click on one of these links, and a small amount of cash is accumulated in your Qmee account. You can see the little green ‘Q’ in your browser change colour while the money is being credited to your account.
Search again, click through to a link again and you’ll earn a bit more. Keep going until the Qmee results disappear.
You can instantly start playing games, taking surveys and looking for cashback deals as soon as you’ve created your Qmee account.
How to cash out from Qmee
There is no minimum cash amount that you need to reach before you withdraw cash. You need to have a verified PayPal account linked within your Qmee settings, and you can withdraw any amount of earnings to that.
If you want to cash out in gift cards rather than cash, which is really handy if you save them up throughout the year for Christmas spending, you need to hit a minimum threshold of £5 (or $5 USD).
There are some excellent options for gift cards, including Amazon, Starbucks, Tesco, Asda, Google Play and Deliveroo.
In order to request a gift card, you must first have cashed out any amount (it can be as little as £0.01 or $0.01) via the PayPal payment option.
After that, you can save your survey rewards and other Qmee earnings so that you hit the minimum payment threshold for a gift card.
You can check how much money you’ve accumulated by clicking the little green ‘Q’ in the top right of your browser.
Click on ‘Cash out my piggybank’ at any time while in your browser, and you’ll be automatically taken to Qmee’s website. You can request to have the cash put straight into your Paypal account (it usually takes up to 24 hours) or request a gift card to be sent to you by email.

You don’t collect points at all; everything you earn is in cash amounts, and you can cash out at any stage to your PayPal account without having to hit a payout threshold.
Is Qmee legit?
Yes, Qmee is a legit company. It has been in operation since 2012 and has a good reputation online. There are many positive reviews of Qmee on Trustpilot, and the company has a 4.3 star rating.
While Qmee is a legit way to earn some extra money, it is definitely not a get-rich-quick scheme. This Qmee review has shown that, although it’s very user friendly and you can cash out a very small amount of money at any time, it’s not one of the best sites to focus on if you want to earn a lot of money.
With the amounts you earn per Qmee search reward and when you complete surveys or play games, you won’t become a millionaire. I love how simple and easy this extension is, however. You can receive money just by doing something so simple as searching online.
Many of us do this several times a day, so why not get a little back from it? Qmee recommend that you just carry out your natural online searches to maximize the rewards that appear.
Qmee is absolutely one of my favourite discoveries. Small amounts like this will add up to a significant sum over a period of time.
You will need to be patient and persistent to earn a significant amount of money. However, if you are looking for a way to earn some extra cash in your spare time, Qmee is a good option to consider.
Here are some of the pros and cons of using Qmee:
Pros:
- No minimum payout amount
- Easy to use
- Variety of ways to earn money
- Legitimate company
- The browser extension comes with an automatic price comparison tool
- There is a Qmee referral program which can increase your earnings
Cons:
- Surveys can be scarce
- Payout rate is relatively low
- Some surveys are poorly designed
- Extension pop ups are not as regular as most people would like
Overall, however, Qmee is a legitimate way to earn some extra money and you receive real cash rewards for your actions. It’s a nice little side hustle to earn a little bit of extra spending money throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, Qmee actually pays. There are many positive reviews of Qmee on Trustpilot, and the company has a 4.3 star rating. I have also personally used Qmee and have been paid each time I request to cash out my earnings without any problems.
Qmee is available for anyone in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France and Germany. The company has plans to expand the countries it is available in soon.
Although I prefer the passive nature of getting paid for online searches, the best way to make money on Qmee is to complete the surveys. They are not as well paying as other survey sites but you can earn a small amount by completing as many as possible, and there is no minimum threshold you need to reach before you can cash out your earnings.
Qmee typically processes cashouts within minutes, but it can take up to 48 hours in some cases. The time it takes for your money to arrive in your PayPal account will depend on PayPal’s processing time.

I’m a big fan of quidco and have made over £2000 over the past few years. Get very cross when I forget to use it or my husband books something without asking me first!
Wow, that’s such an awesome amount of money! I know, I am the same. Got to get that cashback!
